Merlin Fireworks was founded in 1998 by three firework industry professionals committed to producing safe, spectacular and innovative firework entertainment using the most up to date technology and effects.
Merlin were one of the first UK companies to control all of their displays electronically believing this enabled more imaginative and effective presentations than traditional hand lighting techniques.
Merlin were proud to have been invited to assist with London’s memorable Millennium Display 31/12/99 and this became a significant milestone in Merlin’s history.
Over the next few years Merlin presented hundreds of displays throughout the United Kingdom and Internationally and became known for working on iconic structures and landmarks such as the Canary Wharf Tower and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
The European Capital of Culture for 2005 was Cork in Ireland and Merlin presented major displays for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
